I did 4 blind contour drawings of my 2 dogs sleeping on our couch. I used these sketches to make a oil collage painting by placing the sketch information radially around the central couch.

Jeff’s Statement - My Oil paintings - Oil is a  medium that offers interplay of pigments and strokes and its flowing liquidity is in essence frozen in time.  It allows my perceptions of light, color and depth in a way different than drawing-based techniques like pastel.   I am drawn lately to use of more primary colors only to challenge myself to create a color rather than squeeze out a manufactured color.  I am less apt to depict color accurately, rather I want to exaggerate it a little.
