January 19, 2008 Monthly Meeting. Location: Cumberland Presbyterian, corner of Academy and Moon in NE Albuquerque. Program - Mark Hohstreiter "Composition, Composition, Composition" Mark is a self-proclaimed "workshop junkie" who has participated in workshops presented by painters such as K. MacPherson, R. Roberts, J. Budicin, W. S. Jennings, and R. Kuester, among others. Mark will review some of the basic aesthetics of pleasing composition. |

February 16 Monthly Meeting. Location: Cumberland Presbyterian, corner of Academy and Moon in NE Albuquerque.
Gregory (Greg) Villegas will be with us for the February RGAA meeting. Greg is becoming well known as a painter of horses in the rub-out technique which he will demonstrate for us this Saturday, February 16.
Greg has studied with his godfather and mentor Louis Maestas. Greg has fine-tuned his craft of painting horses and he captures the essence of these beautiful animals. |

March 15 Monthly Meeting. Location: Cumberland Presbyterian, corner of Academy and Moon in NE Albuquerque.
Bud Edmondson and Jan Keefer will do a critique of about 20 paintings brought to the meeting by members. There have been many requests for a repeat of that meeting. It seems to be one of our favorite topics. |

April 19 Monthly Meeting. Location: Meeting will be held at Hispanic Arts Building, EXPO NM Robert Kuester will do a live portrait demonstration. Robert is also conducting a 3-day portrait painting workshop in conjunction with MasterWorks of New Mexico, April 16 through 18. |

May 17 Monthly Meeting. Location: Cumberland Presbyterian, corner of Academy and Moon in NE Albuquerque.
The group will be divided up into groups of five and each group will paint the same thing. Everyone needs to come in their "working clothes." Details regarding easels, paint, brushes, etc. will be passed along later. Then, Barb Nahler has a surprise for us but we don’t know yet what she has planned. |

June 21 Monthly Meeting. Location: Cumberland Presbyterian, corner of Academy and Moon in NE Albuquerque.
Three artists will do the same painting, either a still life or a photo of a landscape. We are accepting suggestions of artists names to be invited to do this demonstration. Please submit ideas to Jan Keefer, Program Chairman, 883-1104, jansart1@aol.com |
